Spring Bulb Update

This is a follow up to my post about planting 2,083 spring bulbs last Fall. You can check that post out here.

I just want to show you how the bulbs look in bloom. I am totally loving them. They sure brightened up my yard with color. I don’t know why I didn’t do this years ago.

Don’t mind the weeds. It was a very wet Winter and Spring and I haven’t had a chance to get out and deal with them. However, the blooms are glorious.

So let’s start with the blueberry bed. Pictures at planting time and bloom time.

These are the Purple Dream Blend Tulips, Fragrant Blend Tulips and a tulip, daffodil and hyacinth blend. Love these! Of course the Chrysanthemums in the before picture are totally dormant when the bulbs are blooming so they have the show.

Next we have the teepee part of the English Garden filled with Pride Mix Tulips and Fragrant Tulip Blend.

Next is another area of the English Garden filled with Double Ruffle Blend tulips, Purple Dream Blend tulips and Daffodil mix. I think the squirrels got a bunch of these bulbs. Not too many popped up.

The next area is where I planted a bunch of Lake of Fire blend tulips. I love these. They are bold and bright and full. I would like to plant more of these. Hopefully I can find them this Fall.

Toward the left side of the path in this next area are planted with Marshmallow Fields Mix and Pride Mix tulips.

To the right side of that path is planted up with a combination of Queens Garden Tulip Mix, Purple Dream Blend Tulips and Clouds of Cotton Tulips. There were so intricate. A bit smaller but I love the color and the way they look before they open.

The last location was the corner by the garage. I think I loved those blooms more than any other, probably because I saw them every morning and evening when I left and came home. This bed was filled with Double Ruffle Blend Daffodils, Golden Ducat Daffodils, Tulip Mix and Oxford’s Elite Tulips.

Various barrels were filled with hyacinth. They smell amazing and the color is spectacular.

I am sure I will be adding to these bulbs this Fall. I’m not sure what or where, but I will let you know what I end up doing. Next Spring should be filled with more explosions of color.

Did you plant Spring bulbs last Fall? How are they looking in bloom?
