Christmas cookies are a must have in our family. We each have our favorite which sometimes changes over the years, but mostly not. There are certain cookies that just have to get done and if it’s a busy year and I am running short on time to bake, those may be the only ones that get done.
This year I only made made 6 types of cookies and 3 types of candies. In prior years I have been known to make 20 or more. And multiple batches. But I give a lot away. I share tubs of cookies to many people during the holidays. I love doing that.
My confections are made with fresh eggs, sweet cream butter and lots of love. I know you can’t taste them and I’m sorry for that because I would love to share with all of you but at least I can share a picture of them with you.
These are the sweets that were made this year.
Almond Triangles and Choco Caramel Delights
Easy Pretzel Turtles and Chocolate Crinkles
Thumbprints, Spritz and Caramel Filled Chocolate Cookies
Homemade Caramel Chews and Fudge With and Without Nuts
Each year I try to make a new recipe or two. Some years I succeed, and some years I don’t. This year I didn’t get a chance to try anything new. I had some picked out but time got away. Those recipes will sit in my files in the hopes that they will get made next year.
Do you make any holiday sweets? What are your family’s favorites?
